On 17 June 2026, BLACKPOINT signed a Strategic Partnership Pre-Agreement with Makine ve Kimya Endüstrisi A.Ş. (MKE), the state-owned defence manufacturer of the Republic of Türkiye — NATO member since 1952.
MKE manufactures 470+ defence products, exports to more than 105 countries, and has successfully established ammunition production lines in eight countries through technology transfer — the exact model now coming to Canada.
The partnership provides technology and know-how transfer, perpetual and royalty-free IP rights within Canada, three production lines (5.56mm, 7.62mm, 9mm), training and commissioning support — with equipment delivery targeted within 8 months of facility availability.
